All walls and ceilings are flat! The crown molding, ornaments and panels are all an illusion with paint. Lathe and plaster was repaired, the original painting of distemper consolidated, and new paint applied exactly as original. We were unable through research to find the original artist but the style is very much that of Charles Schumacher who lived in the area at the time this house was built in the 1850s.
